Bellator 292: Nurmagomedov vs. Henderson is an upcoming mixed martial arts event produced by Bellator MMA that will take place on March 10, 2023, at the SAP Center in San Jose, California, United States.
On March 10th, the Bellator Lightweight World Grand Prix will commence with a bang as Usman Nurmagomedov defends his lightweight title against former WEC and UFC Lightweight Champion Benson Henderson in the main event of Bellator 292. Meanwhile, Tofiq Musayev and Alexandr Shabliy will face off in a quarterfinal match as the co-main event.
Originally, the event was also supposed to feature a bantamweight bout between former title challenger Leandro Higo, who is also a former LFA Bantamweight Champion, and James Gallagher. However, Gallagher withdrew from the bout in mid-February for undisclosed reasons, leading to the cancellation of the fight.
Additionally, a women’s flyweight bout between Keri Taylor-Melendez and Bruna Ellen was also scheduled for the event. Unfortunately, Taylor-Melendez pulled out of the bout at the end of February, resulting in the cancellation of the fight.
